The
Isabella County Commission on Aging Senior Center, located at
2200 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, is our "Community
Focal Point" for Older Adult programs and services for Isabella
County. The center provides a friendly social atmosphere, in
which participants can enjoy a wide variety of recreational,
social, cultural, nutritional and educational opportunities.
These opportunities
include a State Award winning exercise program; several different
kinds of weekly card groups; informational seminars on medical
issues, insurance problems; caregiving responsibilities and nutritional
needs. There is also Legal Aid assistance; a blood pressure screening
program on a bi-weekly basis; the Senior Singers choral group;
the Low Vision Support Group; several area retirees groups that
meet at the Senior Center on a monthly basis and a noon luncheon
offered Monday through Friday through our Food With Friends Congregate
Nutrition Program.

Another vital
part of the services available through the Isabella County Senior
Center is our Travel Program. The Travel Program provides the
opportunity for individuals to take trips to destinations all
over the country and even overseas. The cost of each trip varies
according to the destination. All trips within the United States
and Canada are provided via motor coach.

All trip payments
are to be sent to the Commission on Aging office at 2200 S. Lincoln
Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
Checks should
be made out to the Commission on Aging, and put Attention Sally
on the envelope, and please specify which trip you are paying
for.
