 Who We Are....

The Isabella County Commission on Aging was established in 1973 by the Isabella County Board of Commissioners.  We are a department of the county government unit that serves the needs of Older Adults and their families within a multi-county service area.

Through the years the Commission on Aging has developed into a leading multi-service agency that provides a community focal point for the needs of our Older Adult population.  It is the belief of our agency that given the high quality of programs and services offered, we are better able to answer the needs of Older Adults in a dignified and cost effective manner.

Our programs focus on assisting individuals who are sixty years of age and older and live within our geographical service area.  Income eligibility is a factor in some of the programs we provide and will be discussed when inquires are made concerning service needs.  A few of the Commission on Aging programs, such as the Senior Center Trips program, are based on a fee per service.  By Federal Mandate, most of the services of the Commission on Aging are provided on a donation basis.  Services are never denied due to an inability to donate.
