Being a victim of crime can be a very difficult time for most people.
Our office has a Victim Advocate on staff, which provides victims with an
opportunity to discuss their concerns and to get assistance needed to see
them through this difficult time in their life.

- Services provided include:

*Give information and help in filing for Michigan
Crime Victim Compensation.
*Gives help in getting emergency services such as
food, a place to live, and clothing.
*Makes referrals to other community agencies for
additional services.
*Gives information on how the legal process works
and case status.
*Accompanies victims to court proceedings.
*Facilitates the opportunity for victims to speak
at the sentencing.
*Assists in the return of personal property.
*Gives information and help in obtaining
restitution.
*Helps the community understand about the
victim's needs.
