at (989) 775-9401 for more information about curbside recycling

Items collected curbside include: • Newspapers, Magazines,
Catalogs (no string/twine) • Boxboard and Cardboard (flatten,) Brown
bags (no pizza/wax-coated/laundry soap boxes) • Office paper (tied
in see-through bag, any color/size, staples ok, no envelope windows)
• Glass bottles/jars (clear/brown only, rinse, remove metal lid for
recycling, no bulbs/plate glass/other colors) • Plastic bottles/jars
(no plastic bags, discard lids) • Aluminum (foil, food/pie tray,

In 2007, our curbside recycling customers generated
approximately 285 TONS of recycling! The material picked up at your
curbside is brought to the Isabella County Recycling Center where it
is processed and marketed. All revenue generated through material
sales is used to cover program costs. The intention of the program
is to conserve our resources while providing our community with a
waste alternative. The benefits of curbside recycling include
convenience, an increase in material brought in to the facility, a
reduction in waste, and transportation efficiency.
