Caregiver Trainer – Contract Position

 

General Summary:

Under the supervision of the In-Home Services Coordinator of the Commission on Aging manages the Caregiver Trainer Program. Responsible for providing resources for caregivers and care recipients, supervising a monthly Support Group and organizing a Spring and Fall training for professional and personal caregivers of Isabella County and the surrounding communities.

 

Contract Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related human service area required, Master’s Degree in social work or counseling preferred.

Experience: Two years’ experience in an area related to the designated program area working with older adults.

Other Requirements: Possession of a valid Michigan Driver’s License and Commercial General Liability Insurance.

Salary: $40/hour

Schedule: As a contractual worker, the worker will set his/her own schedule for 18-20 hours per week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:3o p.m.  Worker will share the monthly schedule with the In-Home Services Program Coordinator.
