Fitness Event Nets $20,000 for Meals on Wheels
The
Annual Keep Meals-on-Wheels Rolling Fitness Event generated $20,000 for
our home-delivered meals program. Our fitness event included an array of
activities for all levels of competitors.
Our home delivered meals program provides meals to 724 individuals of Isabella and Gratiot Counties. These meals are extremely important to those individuals who are homebound, physically or mentally unable to attend a congregate meal site, or unable to adequately prepare their own meals.
Our community volunteers see the importance of our program. They donated their time and effort to help put on this event, while making it a success. Participants raised pledges for their participation. Local businesses donated prizes for participants. Our local supporters believe in us and the efforts we put forth.
