Zoning Board of Appeals
The Isabella County Zoning Board of Appeals functions under and has their powers and duties set forth by the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (PA 110 of 2006).
The Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (MZEA) defines the membership, responsibilities and authority of the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA).
The ZBA’s basic duties and
responsibilities include the following:
- Interpreting the ordinance.
- Deciding appeals from administrative decisions.
- Granting variances.

Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Chambers
