10:30 a.m. Introduction

11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fall and Recovery Presentation for Caregivers

If you are a primary caregiver to someone at risk for falls, this session is for you. In this interactive presentation, CMU physical therapy students will discuss strategies on how to reduce the risk of falls at home for your loved one. You will also learn what to do AFTER a fall occurs including how to assess for injury and when to call for help. In addition, you will get practical strategies to physically help someone off the floor after a fall. ALL are welcome!

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Anyone Can Paint with Steve Wood

Let award winning television artist Steve Wood help develop the “artist” in you to create “Crashing Wave.” You don’t have to be “born with the gift” to be a great painter. Remember “Anyone Can Paint” these pieces of art. Steve’s methods are applicable to the beginner as well as the advanced painter. Create an 11” x 14” acrylic landscape painting in class.
