CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY AND MID MICHIGAN COLLEGE STUDENTS! Our office has been receiving calls and walk-ins from college students asking if they can register to vote. YES you can BUT you must provide the following: Within 14 days of an election, and on Election Day, voters may only register by visiting their local clerk’s office to register in person with proof of residency documentation. Voters can check their voter registration status and look up their local clerk information at Michigan.gov/Vote.
To register or update your voter registration for the upcoming election, you must go to your city or township clerk's office as soon as possible, but no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can vote during the same visit. Here is what you need to bring with you.
