The rustic cabins near the lakeshore at Coldwater Lake Family Park have undergone renovations over the winter and are ready to welcome guests!
Regular visitors to the park will notice fresh paint in updated colors on the cabin siding, trim and doors. Inside the cabins, the previously bare concrete floors have been coated with tan epoxy paint for a warmer atmosphere and an easier to clean surface. The largest, and arguably most noticeable upgrade, is the replacement of the bunks in all five cabins. The dated double twin bunks have been replaced with new bunks featuring full ladders and enhanced safety railings. One twin bunk in each cabin has been upgraded to a twin-over-full to expand sleeping space for families and couples. Along with the new bunks, new foam mattresses and a new style of mattress cover were also purchased. The new bunks should provide more sleeping space, increased comfort and enhanced safety for cabin guests. The new black metal bunks also create a cleaner and more inviting atmosphere inside the cabins.
For convenience, new hooks and shelves have been mounted in the cabins to hold personal items and provide easy access to items such as car keys, sunglasses and phones. Under bed storage lockers are being added beneath the bunks to store guest’s belongings in an organized way while maximizing space inside the cabin. Outdated light fixtures inside the cabins have been replaced with new flush-mount LED lights to brighten the space and increase energy efficiency.
The five cabins at Coldwater Lake Family Park are near the boat launch and close to the lakeshore. The cabins are a great option for those seeking to avoid the setting up of traditional camping equipment such as tents or campers. Each cabin site has its own fire pit, grill and picnic table. The cabins are rustic, meaning they have electricity, but no indoor plumbing or running water. Water is available via an outdoor spigot on each cabin site. The campground bathhouse and nearby vault toilet are available to those staying in cabins.
Cabins can be booked for a nightly fee of $45.00. Cabin stays include one vehicle entrance permit. Please visit isabellacounty.goingtocamp.com to reserve a cabin.
