Public Meeting Notice

A public meeting will be conducted electronically by the Isabella County Parks and Recreation Commission Board on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. View full meeting materials and meeting access information at isabellacounty.org/news.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive public comment on a proposed grant application to the Department of Natural Resources Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund for the Meridian Park Acquisition Project. The application seeks to obtain state grant funds for the acquisition of an 11-acre parcel adjacent to Meridian Park, located in central Isabella County, at 3837 S. Meridian Rd. in Mount Pleasant, Michigan (Parcel # 14-019-30-002-00).

Comments may be presented orally at the public meeting, or may be submitted in writing to the Isabella County Parks & Recreation Department by 4:30 p.m. March 10, 2021. NOTICE OF ELECTRONICALLY CONDUCTED

PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION BOARD MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Isabella County Parks and Recreation Commission will conduct its regularly scheduled Board Meeting Wednesday, March 10, 2021 electronically at 6:00pm.

The Board Meeting materials related to the meeting are available on the homepage of the County website at www.isabellacounty.org under “Board, Committee & Commission Meetings”.  For Parks and Recreation Board Members’ contact information, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 989.317.4083.

Following the recommendations of State and County Health Officials and the Center for Disease Control & Prevention in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, and in keeping with the County’s COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan, the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration Emergency Rules for COVID-19, and the Michigan Open Meetings Act, the Wednesday, March 10, 2021 Isabella County Parks and Recreation Meeting will not provide for in-person public attendance.

All interested persons may attend and participate in the electronic meeting.  The Public will be able to access the meeting by telephone.

To access the meeting by telephone: Please call (312) 626-6799.  When prompted for the “Meeting ID” enter “886 4492 3065” and the “#” sign.  If prompted for a “Passcode” or “Participant ID” enter “#” sign.  You will join the meeting with your audio muted and you will be able to hear the meeting participants live.

Public comment will be received during the normal public comment sections of the meeting via telephone call-in.  To raise your hand for public comment, telephone participants should press *9.  The host will announce the last three (3) digits of the caller’s telephone number to alert the public comment participant that it is their turn to speak.  The Board Chairman will call on you to speak, and your audio will be unmuted for your public comment time.

Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate may call the Isabella County Parks and Recreation Office at 989.317.4083.  Persons requiring speech or hearing assistance may contact the County through the Michigan Relay Center at 711.  A minimum of one (1) business day of advance notice will be necessary for accommodation.
