Online Camping Reservations

Reservations can be completed online, or by calling the Parks Main Office (calls accepted starting February 18, 2026 at 8:30 am). A maximum of 5 reservations is permitted per cart.

CREATING A NEW ONLINE ACCOUNT:
If you have not created an online account since 2022, you must create a new account to make online reservations.

CUSTOMERS CAN MAKE CHANGES TO OR CANCEL RESERVATIONS ONLINE: 
1) Log in to your online camping account
2) Click My Reservations
3) Click Change Reservation or Cancel Reservation

Information Regarding Online Reservation System:
All rules apply to both online and phone call reservations.

Payments – Payment must be made in full at the time of making reservations.

Processing Fee – There is a $5.00 non-refundable processing fee per individual campsite, cabin or pavilion reserved.

Minimum Stay Restrictions – Reservations made at Coldwater Lake Family Park and Herrick Recreation Area require a 2-night minimum stay and a 3-night minimum stay is required for holiday weekends. To make a reservation for a campsite or cabin that is only available for one night at either of these parks, call the Parks Main Office at (989) 317-4083.

Cancellations – Cancellations can now be completed online by the customer or by calling the Parks Main Office. The only option for refund is to be refunded the way in which you paid. Those who pay for their reservation with cash at the park or office will receive a check refund, which takes about 2 weeks to be processed. Cancellation fees will be applied in accordance with Isabella County Parks Camping and Pavilion Refund Policies.

Group Reservations – You will need the name, address, phone number and email (email optional) of at least one person (18 years or older) staying overnight on each site. The main contact person must be different for each site reserved. Payment must be made in full at time of making reservations. Isabella County Parks’ campgrounds do not offer group-specific campsites.

Multiple Reservations – If interested in booking multiple reservations for separate time frames, you can do so in one checkout. Add separate stays to your cart and check out from there. Example: you reserve June 12-14 as well as July 17-19; both stays can be added to your cart and you can check out at one time.

30+ Consecutive Night Reservations – 30+ consecutive night reservations can be made online for Herrick Park. Discounted rates for these reservations will automatically be applied if reserving on the same campsite. If you wish to move to more than one campsite within your 30+ night reservation, please contact the Parks Main Office. 30+ consecutive night reservations at Coldwater, where available, can be reserved online at the standard $25 nightly rate. To receive discounted rates for these reservations at Coldwater, you must add your name to a lottery list for the next camping season by calling the Parks Main Office at (989) 317-4083.

Switching from Cabin to Campsite or Campsite to Cabin – Once a reservation is made, campers will not be able to change their reservation online from a campsite to a cabin or from a cabin to a campsite. You must cancel the original reservation and reserve again or call the Parks Main Office at (989) 317-4083.

Online Cart – There is a 20-minute cart time limit from the time you add a site to your cart. If you are adding multiple sites to your cart, the 20-minute time frame will restart every time you add a new site. You will receive a warning notice when you have 5 minutes remaining. If you click “Confirm” on the timer running out warning, your timer will reset to 20 minutes. After 20 minutes of inactivity, sites are removed from cart and made available for others to reserve.

Notify Me Feature – If the campground is full during the dates you want to camp, or you can’t find an available campsite that fits your camping equipment, click the NOTIFY ME button to receive an email alert if a campsite or cabin becomes available for your selected dates due to a cancellation.

2026 Holiday Reservations – If your reservation includes any of the dates below, you MUST stay 3 or more nights:

Memorial Day Weekend – Thu, May 21; Fri, May 22; Sat, May 23
Fourth of July Weekend – Thu, July 2; Fri, July 3; Sat, July 4
Labor Day Weekend – Thu, September 3; Fri, September 4; Sat, September 5

Check-In/Check-Out Time
Check-in time is 3:00 pm, check-out time is 1:00 pm.

You can speed up the check-in process at the park by printing off the Camper Check-In Form and bringing the completed form with you to the park. A camper check-in form must be filled out for each campsite and cabin reserved and the point of contact must be different for each. The Camper Check-In Form is linked in the confirmation email you receive once you make a reservation.
