Cross Country Skiing in Deerfield Nature Park
During the winter months at Deerfield Nature Park, cross country skiing is a great pastime. When the weather allows, Park Staff grooms the trails to allow for a great cross country skiing experience. Once groomed, the trail conditions are updated below.

From Mount Pleasant, head west on M-20 towards Big Rapids. The park is located on the left side of the road about 6 miles from town.

Park Hours: 8:00 am – Dusk
Fees:
A daily entrance permit to enter the park is $6. Annual passes can also be purchased at the park. They are $25 for Isabella County residents and $35 for non-county residents. There is no additional charge to utilize the cross country ski trails. During the off season, if the Gate Attendant is not present, you are still welcome to utilize the park.
Rules:
When the trails are groomed for cross country skiing, we ask that all individuals walking stay on the rigid walking area (see example below). We also ask that all individuals walking with their pets utilize the north side of the park (see winter trail map below). If the trails are ungroomed, individuals walking their pets are welcome to utilize any of the trails.

Question: Do you rent skis for cross country skiing?
Answer: Unfortunately, we do not offer ski rentals. Currently we are unaware of any rental facilities for skis in the Mt. Pleasant area.
