While at the park, take advantage of the all-sports lake, lounge on the sandy beach, and play a round of basketball. Coldwater offers a variety of recreation activities while creating memories.

Seasonal Access:

NOTE: Coldwater Lake Family Park opens May 1, 2026, but the park’s day-use area is still accessible. To access Coldwater’s day-use area & playground:
Turn onto Parkview Drive, a dirt road off of Littlefield Road on the west side, just north of the park. Drive to the end of Parkview and turn left, where you’ll find the park’s North Gate. Running water and bathrooms are unavailable until May, but vault toilets are available on site. A vehicle entrance permit is not required if no gate attendant is present in the off-season.

Vehicle Entrance Permits:

An Isabella County Parks Vehicle Entrance Permit is required for entry into Coldwater, Herrick, and Deerfield parks. Daily Permits are $6 per vehicle and Annual Permits (valid for the calendar year) are $25 for Isabella County residents and $35 for non-resident guests. Annual Permits are available for purchase at park gatehouses when gate attendants are present during the season [mid-May – Labor Day], and available only at Deerfield Nature Park in the off-season.
